This topic will also allow us to discuss the issues surrounding global warming with the children holding a debate to voice their opinions.

Please see our topic overview for further details on the individual subjects.

Year 6 Spring Term 1 - A Child's War

Our first topic for the Spring term is 'A Child's War' where we will be studying how World War II impacted on the lives of children. During this topic we will be studying evacuation, children's roles in the home and schooling.  If you have any artifacts that may relate to this topic please bring them in to enhance our learning.  As part of this topic we plan to organise a 'day in the life of an evacuee' experience.  The children will hopefully realise how lucky they are.
