We have a very busy last term ahead of us in Year 3. We have a new topic this term looking at Healthy Lifestyles. We are very much looking forward to our trip and have visitors from Warburtons Bread coming in to visit in a few weeks time. 

The children are already very excited about this topic and have already begun to find out some information. We would be grateful if you could encourage research at home with your child and ask them to bring pictures, facts, art work, books and anything related for our classroom display.

In Science we are looking at healthy lifestyles, looking at healthy eating, balanced diets, exercise and looking after our bodies and teeth. In Year 3 we are still impressed with the standard of progress in reading. Some children have been using Bug Club and we would like to encourage those who have not yet logged on to do so. All reading books are now availble online through Bug Club. Please make use of these as they are fantastic resouces to encourage reading. 


P.E Kit
PE kit is needed every Wednesday and Thursday as we will be doing P.E on Wednesdays and outdoor games on Thursdays. Shorts and T-shirts are needed for indoor PE and trainers are needed for outside games. Some children often forget so please ensure that they are prepared for this important part of the curriculum. 

Homework
All the children in year three have homework books. All homework will be set on a Friday and expected back into school by the following Thursday. Please can you ensure that they are returned to school every Thursday. We would love it if you could put a comment in the homework books once you have ensured that your child's homework is done. 

Our lessons begin promptly at 8.55 so please make every effort to arrive on time-you don't want to miss anything!

We have been very fortunate to have been selected to trial the new WAG scheme of work Y Pod Antur- the children have been having great fun so far and are really enjoying it. We have seen a great improvement in the Welsh the children are using in the classroom.
