Mrs Stimpson's group are continuing to work on their Phase 3 phonics.
A sound mat is provided to continue practising all of the Phase 3 sounds.
This week we are focusing on the sounds 'qu' and 'sh'.
Below are recap video lessons for each sound provided by BBC Bitesize (please click the link to go to their webpage to watch the video) and then some activities to complete to practise the sound in words. Children are then asked to write a simple sentence with a word containing the sound(s) of the week.
A set of 10 words are then given using the sounds to learn across the week, using the read, cover, write method. At the end of the week parents/guardians please test your child on these 10 words.
If you do not have access to a printer, then please write the words in home learning books.
