Literacy:
TASK 1
Comprehension books (these were issued to all pupils this term as homework, you’ve already completed 2 activities). Only complete the page for the book you’ve been given.

First Comprehension 1 – page 10-11 (The Wizard's Dog)

Grammar books (these are newly issued)
Grammar book 2 – page 5 (Sentence Punctuation)

Spelling books (previously used in class)
Group 4 - Spelling Book 2 – page 22 (Adding the suffix y)
Group 3 - Spelling Book 1 – page 28 (The 'or' sound)
Groups 1 & 2 -  Spelling Book 1 - page 5 (segmenting the sounds in blends) 

Task 4
Handwriting Books (previously used in class)
Red Group – Page 24 (Unit 23 - Building on horizontal join to ascender: ok, ot, ob, ol)
Blue Group – Page 11 (Unit 10 - Writing numbers 1-100)
Yellow Group – Page 3 (Unit 2 - Practising diagonal join, no ascender: ai, ay)

Task 5
Creative Writing Task -  Carrying on from our work around George’s Marvellous Medicine we are asking you to create a poster of similes to describe George's Grandmother! Remember- a simile compares two things using the word ‘like’ or ‘as’. 

Please see examples and a WAGOLL (What a good one looks like) below.

George's Marvellous Medicine Chapter 1 - Grandma is also uploaded below to read or to listen to. 

You can send your work back to the teachers by logging into Google Classrooms with your child's HWB login. 

As usual please continue to read at home with your child. BugClub reading books are available online and teachers can monitor usage and update when new books need issuing.
