This week we are exploring the story of Beowulf. This story has survived thousands of years since the time of the Anglo Saxons and this is called a traditional tale.
Many versions of these are written and spoken over time. The story is based on a heroic character called Beowulf, who battles against a monster called Grendel.
As many versions of this story have been written over time, Grendel as been described and drawn in many different ways.
Today I would like you to look at all the different versions of Grendel in the pdf below and draw and label your own version!
How many eyes will he have?
Will he have razor, sharp teeth?
Will he have long, thick fur? What colour will it be?
