Today I would like you to think about what we have already learnt about writing letters.

Pick a bronze, silver or gold challenge and read through the jumbled up letter from an Anglo-Saxon girl. Rearrange the letter so that it is in the correct order, using the knowledge you already have about writing letters.

What do we know about the layout of a letter?

What is the purpose of a letter?

Why are ideas separated into paragraphs?

Can you put the address in the right place?

Once you have done that, check the answer sheet to see if you have put all the features in the correct place!

Then, write down all the features of the letter in your book.

What does a letter have to include?

Here is some more information about the Anglo-Saxons!
