Phonics:

WALT (We are learning today): How to recognise and make animal sounds.

Wednesday 6th January Book | Glyncoed Primary School (primarysite.media) Watch this video, Mrs Gallivan has a story for you to listen to!

Activity:  Listen to the story ‘Polar Bear Polar bear what did you hear? What different sounds can you think of for the animals from the book. Spend some time having fun making these noises.

Challenge: What about farm animals or animals people have as pets. What noises do they make? Can you draw a picture of these animals and make their noises.

 

Reading:

WALT (We are learning today): Recognise print and pictures in a book.

Activity: Encourage your child to read their own favourite book identifying where there are words, letter and text.

Challenge: Tell a friend or family member about your favourite book, show them how your book works by turning the pages and showing them the pictures.

 

Writing:

WALT (We are learning today): Let the children learn about mark making through squiglet.
