Literacy

Today we are going to be using our plan to write the first 2 verses of our poem!

Use your plan from yesterday's lesson to help you, but only focus on the BEGINNING part of the plan to make your verses! Watch my teaching video below to see how I turned our shared plan into the first verse of a poem!

What rhyming pairs did you come up with in your plan?

How can you add them to your verses?

What rhyme scheme are you going to follow? (Remember, it must be consistent throughout your poem).

How many syllables are you going to have in each line? Will there be a pattern?

Look at the full two verses of the class poem that I've attached to the Seesaw assignment to help you with yours. Use the bronze, silver of gold template attached to write your poem (gold template is blank so that you can use your own structure).
