Today we are going to be finding out about King Offa, and deciding whether or not he was a great Anglo-Saxon king.

We will spend the first live lesson at 9am discussing the roles and responsibilities of an Anglo-Saxon king/queen and comparing these to those of a king/queen today. 

We will then discuss what makes a great king and decide whether Offa was a great king or not. You will need to explain your evidence for your opinion. 

In the second session at 11am we will be pretending to be monarchs for the day and writing diary entries. Please see PDF for gold, silver and bronze tasks.
