Reading

Regular reading will help children build their knowledge of key words as well as develop their vocabulary and understanding. Stories give lots of opportunity for discussion and to identify new words and vocabulary. 

Books on Bug Club start using phonics and high frequency words. Remember you can select to have the book read to you- which is important when modelling how to say the words correctly.

 

The website below is familiar to children and will help them to learn their phonic sounds.
