Comprehension 

 

This week, please read the comprehension on page 12 and complete the answer questions on page13 of your comprehension book.

 

Remember to read the text carefully before looking at the questions. Underline any key information if it helps you to remember it.  

 

Grammar

 

This week please complete page 8 your grammar book 'pronouns'. 

 

Spellings

This week please complete page 34 of your spelling books and learn the attached spellings. 

You could go back to the start of the book for additional spellings if you have extra time!

 

Maths

 

This week please complete the attached practise test paper at the bottom of this page. 

There is also a problem solving question for you to complete - you can send your answers to us on Google Classrooms on Hwb.

 

Handwriting

 

This week please complete Unit 25 (pg 26) of your handwriting book. 

 

 

Creative Writing

This week please write a formal letter to apply for a job at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. You have been provided with the advert, a planning template, success criteria and 2 WAGOLL examples. Don't forget to read the instructions before you start.

 

Project X

Please write a WANTED! poster for Captain George the dangerous pirate. Use the WAGOLL and help sheets to create your poster. I would like to see a range of adjectives, connectives and exciting vocabulary. You also have a comprehension activity to complete.

 

History

This week find out about the original Ancient Greek Olympics. Study ancient pottery to find out how the Olympics differed in Ancient Greece and today.

Hwb Heroes Assemble! A call to children and young people to become Hwb Heroes

 

Wales Education Minister, Kirsty Williams, has launched an initiative to get the children and young people of Wales using their creativity to spread positive and entertaining messages online to older people who are currently self-isolating due to the Covid-19 lockdown.
