This week we will be looking at explanation texts.

 

I hope you will be able to join us at 9.15 on Microsoft Teams to access the live lesson.  If you are having any problems please email me.

 

Read through the PowerPoint/PDF.  Then you will have to identify the features of an explanation text from bronze, silver or gold

 

e.g. title - How do seeds grow?

Opening statement -  Plants are living things

 

If you want an extra challenge you can explain why each feature is used

e.g. A title is used to tell the reader what the text is about
